The three best museums in London you can get to for free

London is a city of surprises. Pleasant. For example, with the general high cost, the main museums of the city are completely free for everyone! This makes it possible to study them as much as you want, as well as returning there, being in London, just to admire your favorite painting. We always do that! In my issue today, I’ve got a quick overview of three great London museums that are a must. Especially if you are in London for the first time.

National Gallery. It is located in the center, on Trafalgar Square. It stores more than 2000 paintings from Western European painting of the XIII - beginning of XX century. The National Gallery is considered the third most visited art museum in the world.

There are no queues, because admission is free. She is huge, and the pictures are for every taste. When we are in London, we always look into our favorite halls. In particular, in the hall where English artists of the 19th century are represented - Turner, Gainsborough, Stubbs and others ...

Another favorite room is the impressionists. Here the discovery awaited us. In the hall of Van Gogh, it suddenly seemed: crabs in the picture! But we have never seen them in his work !! Come closer ... Crabs! Truth! It turned out that he really had a whole series about crabs)))

Do you recognize this hero? Those who grew up in the 80s will understand my delight. Cardinal Richelieu ... It is a pity that modern children will not appreciate my delight)))

The second museum is British. The main historical and archaeological museum of the British Empire and one of the largest museums in the world, the second most visited after the Louvre. It is located in the Bloomsbury area. It was created in 1753 on the basis of three collections.

Ideal for history buffs. It contains real historical artifacts. Egyptian hieroglyphs, Babylonian sculptures, the hall of Ancient Greece and Rome ...

Mummies made a huge impression. The real ones!

And finally, the Museum of Science. The museum was founded in 1857 on the basis of surpluses from other exhibitions and museums of the kingdom and is considered one of the three main Victorian era museums on Exhibition Road in London's South Kensington.

The museum of science is also huge. It contains more than 300 thousand exhibits, including the “Rocket” and “Puffing Billy” steam locomotives, Charles Babbage difference machine. On the ground floor there are old technical inventions, looking at which now, it is impossible to believe that such a thing once existed. Steam engines and other units the size of a room ... What can I say, a computer the size of an apartment !!!

It's nice that one of the first computers that are presented in the museum is of Russian production)) And there is also a whole stand dedicated to our Gagarin.

The museum occupies several floors, each with its own theme. Space, inventions, all kinds of communications that have degenerated into modern gadgets ... The museum is interesting for adults and children, so I highly recommend it!))

These are the museums. It seems to me that this is chicly invented - letting everyone come in for free. So you can more often join the culture. Even without waiting in line! :)
