This is the cleanest lake on the planet, but do not try to plunge into its waters!

The cleanest and concurrently the most beautiful lake on our planet is called the Blue Lake and is located on the South Island of New Zealand. The first thought that arises when looking at this amazing reservoir is to jump into its crystal clear water and splash around in it to exhaustion. But, unfortunately, this is strictly prohibited!

Peerless landscape. On the South Island in New Zealand is the last untouched corner of nature.

Relict forests, steep cliffs and waterfalls - a stunning landscape.

There, deep in the mountains, there is the cleanest lake on Earth, fed by a clean water source.

Blue Lake (or in the Maori language - the indigenous population of New Zealand - Rotomairewhenua) is located in the Nelson Lakes National Park on the South Island.

The water in it is so clean that when immersed, you can see far in front of you.

Laboratory tests showed that the range of visibility is from seventy meters.

For comparison: in distilled water, this figure is about eighty meters.

This photo shows: the water in the lake is so clear that it cannot be distinguished from air.

Swimming due to nature conservation in the lake is prohibited.

Only scientists can get special permission to dive into the lake in order to take photographs, such as these.

Tourists are allowed to walk along the shore at any time.

Such photos remain in the memory for a long time.
