18 shocking shots from the life of schoolchildren in Senegal

We are so used to many things from our daily lives that we have completely ceased to appreciate them. But people on the other side of the Earth are deprived of all this, and they dare not even dream of our living conditions. For example, the children of Senegal were not so lucky. They study and live in terrible conditions, and their schools can hardly be called an educational institution - they are so far from the usual understanding of the word.

Statistics show that about 15 million people live in this country, of which over 50 thousand are children, who are called the Taliban, students of Koranic schools. Between the ages of 7-12, they go to study at Muslim educational institutions.
