The photographer shot an amazing animal - a hybrid of a zebra and a horse

Karina Mayvald is a famous horse photographer. For over 6 years she has been photographing these magnificent, noble animals and admits that she thought she knew everything about them. But a few months ago, her work gave the woman an unforgettable surprise. She saw an animal that, as it seemed to her, could exist only in her imagination - a zebra horse, a hybrid of a zebra stallion and a mare. And this amazing creature was very different from all those that appeared in the Mayvald lens over the years.

Zebrol horses have very strong wild instincts, so it’s not easy to find contact with these animals and photograph them. They are curious, but always ready to attack. In addition, the zebrol horse does not like to be disturbed. Such hybrids are often bred in Africa in order to transport people and goods along difficult routes requiring special endurance. They are strong, agile and in excellent health. In short, zebrol horses combine the best qualities of both their parents.

Outside the African continent, a zebra horse can be seen extremely rarely. However, Karina Meyvald managed to find the perfect model for his shooting named Zuri.
