New past: a resident of Holland creates wonderful collages from Soviet illustrations

Bizarre images of the artist Tamara Stoffers from the Netherlands are made from books from the Soviet era. They have already been represented at exhibitions in Brussels, Stockholm and Rotterdam and made a splash there.

From 2013 to 2017, Stoffers studied fine art at the Academy of Minerva in Groningen. In parallel with this, she managed to finish courses at the famous Klassieke Academie. Not stopping there, the girl developed a special style of collage, using only the era of the USSR as the subject of her work.

Considering the artist’s unique and very interesting images, one should be as attentive to details as possible in order to understand the charm and subtlety of her work.
